My first mothers day was pretty low key, but I liked it that way. I already knew not to set the bar too high for Tim and really all I asked for was for him to take over as much as possible. However, what I did learn is that you can never replace a mom. :)
Unfortunately I set myself up for papers to grade and classwork to prepare for all day, so that was no fun. But around 3:30, we ended up at my parents house for what I was most looking forward to, Grayce in her new bathing suit! Gramma Debi got a baby pool to put in the back yard, and while the men took no interest in this adventure, my mom and I had WAY too much fun with poor Grayce!!
Its your lucky day, you have a video this time! Again, I apologize for the annoying "baby voice," and you may want to get the Dramamine ready because I was shaking the camera all over the place while I used my other hand to snap my fingers, squeek toys, etc, to get Grayce's undivided attention. I think she was too busy being pissed at the giant sunglasses, enormous hat, and the thing she will soon view as her enemy: the bathing suit!! :)
