Working on her words...

Over the past month or so, Grayce has really started to work on words! This is an exciting time - I have always heard about how 12-18 months is so great because you finally start to see things "click" that didnt before. For example, in books, she always knew where the dog was but would always have to guess where the cat or goat was. Now its no problem; cat, goat, duck, pig, horse, cow...Outside of dada, mama, and a bunch of animal sounds, her words used to included things such as "hi," "yes," "fish," "hot," "hat," "this/that" and a whole bunch of one hit wonders that we've only heard once or twice but never again (like "santa"). Over the weekend, she picked up "daddy" and just this morning learned to say "baby." She can also say "up," "down," "apple," "clock," and has started to say some of her friends names. She can pretty much attempt to mimic anything we ask her to say; granted, it wont be perfect, but at least she tries. :) Her sounds include: horse, cow, sheep/goat, dog, snake, bee, mouse, monkey, rooster, Santa :)

These lists keep growing as she does, its so hard to keep track!! We'll keep you posted as best possible. Plus, I will horribly admit that I will most likely be referring back to my blog posts for some of her baby book items!!

We hope all is well!
